On its first non-weekend day (Monday) the net collections dropped a bit to ₹43.96 crore. The Bollywood movie has collected ₹132.4 crore overseas, taking the worldwide collection to ₹425 crore.

Reports say that the movie made ₹22.41 crore from pre-bookings in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
On its first day at the box office, the Animal movie passed with flying colours and made a whooping ₹63.8 crore, with the Hindi version contributing ₹54.75 crore. The following languages—Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam—contributed amounts of ₹8.55 crore, ₹40 lakh, ₹9 lakh, and ₹1 lakh to the total, respectively.
Records Broken By Animal Movie
This film is Ranbir’s biggest opener so far. It collected ₹63.8 crore on Day 1 surpassing the the opening-day numbers of Sanju, which made Rs 34.75 crore on its first day. It is also Ranbir’s highest-grossing movie ‘Sanju’ which had a lifetime business of ₹342.53 crores.
The film became the second biggest opener of the year with ₹54.75 crore on day 1. Jawan still holds the crown of being the biggest opener of the year with ₹75 crore.
“Animal” achieved these records even though it received an ‘A’ certificate in India and an adult certification in the UK. “Animal” has another achievement – even though it was not released on a holiday, the movie had an unprecedented opening.
